Abstract

 This article offres a concise examination of the evolution of women’s status across major ancient  civilizations – including Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Chinese, And India civilizations – as well as within  Judaism and Christianity. The study shows that these contexts Iargely reproduced various forms of discriminination against women, With only limited exceptions. It further contrasts the condition if women in pre- Islamic era  with the significant transformation introduced by Islam, Which affirmed women’s dignity and rights. The article concludes that women’s status has shifted from marginalization to recognition and dignity within the broader development of human ethical consciousness.
