Parliamentary diplomacy plays a crucial role in supporting official diplomatic efforts, particularly as the Moroccan Constitution grants Parliament specific powers in the field of foreign policy, in accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. Moroccan parliamentarians are now equipped with the necessary tools to engage effectively in diplomatic activities within the framework of international cooperation. Defending the Kingdom’s territorial integrity remains one of the foremost challenges facing the Moroccan Parliament, where parliamentary diplomacy operates in parallel with strategic initiatives and actively supports Morocco’s foreign policy. By facilitating the exchange of experiences and knowledge between countries, parliamentary diplomacy enhances the ability of legislators to address shared challenges. The formation of lobbying groups further strengthens parliamentarians’ capacity to build alliances and establish strategic partnerships with counterparts abroad, reinforcing Morocco’s position on the international stage. Such efforts contribute to influencing allies within foreign parliaments, thereby amplifying Morocco’s voice in international and regional organizations, promoting the Kingdom’s interests, and defending its national causes.
