This study addresses the impact of epistemic integration between Usul al-Fiqh and the other Islamic sciences on enhancing the teaching of Usul al-Fiqh at the university level. It explores the methodological and epistemological relationships that connect Usul al-Fiqh with Fiqh, Hadith, Tafsir, and the Arabic language, while investigating how these relationships can be employed to improve the core components of the university curriculum. The study adopts a descriptive-analytical approach to examine the dimensions of this integration and its pedagogical implications.
The paper concludes that an integrative perspective provides a methodological framework for reconstructing the teaching of Usul al-Fiqh by ensuring coherence among its learning objectives, curriculum content, teaching methods, and assessment practices. Such an approach contributes to the development of students’ juristic reasoning and enhances the quality of higher education in Islamic studies.
