Abstract

In Morocco, teachers as well as learners alike have an increasing number of resources available to them due to advances in artificial intelligence (AI). As English continues to play an important role in both education and careers globally, there is so much to be gained from these new technological advancements such as writing aides, chatbots and speech recognition. So, this article discusses the current and future uses of AI in English language education in Morocco, including its primary uses, benefits, and obstacles.

AI allows for personalized learning, encourages learner autonomy, and provides immediate feedback to learners and the changing role of teachers from traditional instructor to facilitator, digital mentor is one of the many things explored in this article. The major barriers to implementing AI include unequal access to technology; inadequate training for teachers; and concerns about academic integrity and privacy of personal data. There is a great potential for AI to help improve English language teaching and learning; however, in order for it to be successful, it requires organization of resources, policies focused on equity, and an appropriate balance between technology and the traditional teaching
