Since the early twentieth century, Marrakech has been a major center for the production of illustrated postcards, which have become essential visual and epistolary archives. This article analyses a corpus of postcards produced since 1900, classified into seven thematic categories: palm grove, Koutoubia and Jamaa El Fna, gates and ramparts, streets and souks, houses and terraces, marabouts, portraits and characters. Through combined iconographic and textual analysis, the study highlights how these postcards contributed to constructing the colonial, touristic and heritage-oriented imaginary of Marrakech.
