Abstract

This article attempts to trace the relationship between language and society using a descriptive-analytical approach that takes into account the tenets of sociolinguistics. It views language as a human characteristic that distinguishes humans in both their individual and social capacities, It also views language as the foundation of cultural activity and a mirror of human thought, shaping societies and organizing the lives and relationships of individuals. The article further analyzes the reciprocal relationship between language and the social system in which it originated, as well as the consequences of any changes that may occur within that system and their implications for language.
